Welcome to the Colbert Family blog.
Upon learning of our pregnancy, the first book I bought was Home Game: An Accidental Guide to Fatherhood by Michael Lewis. While this fatherhood was certainly not accidental, one of the big points of the book was how quickly times flies from the moment your child is born. Michael Lewis, being a great writer, wrote journals to remind him of the stories and feelings of the early days. I figured I could take the easy road and simply post pictures, videos, and maybe a few stories in a blog.
In addition, rather than slam all of our friends with baby updates or be the daily Facebook parent, I thought it make sense to setup this blog to track the journey of our little girl. Hopefully it will help keep everyone up to date on our life as I understand it will become a bit more difficult to do so in person.
