Went with DeeDee to her appointment this morning. No change from the week before so Dr. Kohn recommended we schedule a time this evening to induce. 7pm, Monday the 28th is our check-in.
Very excited that the time is finally upon us. Wonder how the evening will go as it can take around 24 hrs for the process to complete. Will be a long evening for sure but I imagine the excitement and adrenaline will quickly take over.
Still pretty surreal. Not sure if it’s set in yet as the last “close call” was last week when contractions started on our way to dinner was much more anxious. I imagine when we load the car and pull away from the driveway this evening those butterflies will return.
I think we are happy with this “prepared” approach, although part of me will miss the excitement of the water breaking and the rush to get to the hospital. In typical DeeDee fashion we are instead on a very specific schedule will should allow us to go through the checklist and make sure everything is set. Overall, everything is gone pretty smooth so I hope it continues to be so for the next 24 hours.
