Peter the Turkey

Part of Delilah’s homework this week was a project:

“Dear Families,

The attached turkey does not want to be eaten on Thanksgiving Day!  Brainstorm together some fun ways to disguise the turkey so the farmer cannot find him/her when it is time for dinner.  Be creative and use any materials you want.    Then work together to write a few sentences about his/her disguise, and how she/he manages the escape!  Be sure to give him/her a name”

So, DeeDee asked her what she wanted to do and Delilah decided a Spiderman turkey.  They created this cool Spider-turkey costume to overlay the turkey, using tabs to keep it in place (like paper dress-up dolls). DeeDee prepped and Delilah decorated.

Then, Delilah wrote the following about “Peter” (named after Peter Parker of course):

“Peter is a turkey.  When the farmer tries to find him, Peter turns into Spiderman.  He shoots webs to escape.”

The perfect output for our little Supergirl.
