Washington Day 2
We dug for clams on the first day of shellfishing. We found horseshoe clams about 1-2 feet down in the wet sand. But it was hard work and you had to be really fast to catch them! When we opened the clams up, some had little living crabs inside that were seeking refuge.
The clams were sooo delicious and sweet when sliced thinly and eaten raw with a delicious spicy soy sauce DeeDee’s dad made.
We also passed by a little honey shop that DeeDee insisted we visit.
