RIP Lala

When we returned from Grandma and Grandpa’s house, we found that our beloved hamster, Lala, had passed while we were away.  This was not entirely unexpected as Lala was over two years old and we had noticed her health/strength steadily declining over the past few weeks/months.

After we shed some tears, the kids made “love stones” for Lala, while Daddy took care of the logistics. Lala is resting under the large rock, and the love stones that Delilah and Jackson made are right beside it.  We all shared our favorite memories of Lala:

DeeDee: “She was a very good hamster and she never bit us.”
Jason: “I liked watching her roll around in her hamster ball.”
Delilah: “She’s soft.”
Jackson: “I really love you, but sorry that you died.”

We love you, Lala!
