“Jackson Moe”
We had decided on the name Jackson shortly after learning he was going to be a boy. Years back we both liked the name Caden but when the reality set in there were many reasons we ended up with Jackson. Foremost was the fact that my best friends growing up all called me “Jack” as a nickname with “Jackson” as a popular version. In fact, even to this day they rarely call me Jason. That history, along was a desire to have a “J” name ultimately won out.
Moe is DeeDee’s family’s name so we wanted to use it for his middle name. While we liked Jack as a first name it seemed like “Jack Moe Colbert” was a bit abrupt but we felt “Jackson Moe” flowed really nicely together.
