Late Night Lilah Sitting

Prior to getting Lilah used to her crib, we have had to juggle out our night time baby sitting schedule.  Last night’s schedule was as follows:

  • 9pm - 12pm:  Jason Sleeps, DeeDee sits/feeds
  • 12pm - 3am:  DeeDee Sleeps, Jason sits
  • 3am:  DeeDee feeds
  • 3am - 6am:  DeeDee Sleeps, Jason sits
  • 6am - 9am:  Jason Sleeps, DeeDee sits/feeds

Obviously, on paper not a great time.  However, on a personal side it has been great and, I think, looking back these will be very cherished times.  Being able to stay up with just father/daughter and mother/daughter has allowed some special bonding - even if Lilah is unaware of what exactly what is going on.  Having her sleeping on my chest and being able to talk with her and cuddle is something I’ll always remember.

In these late morning hours, Lilah and I have put a dent in the ol’ Netflix queue.  Our favorite so far has been Inglorious Basterds.
